The UGs put up a parade and I think us Scouts had to put in the most time 'cause we stayed behind after the other UGs twice -.- Some of our ex-seniors came back such as Harold and an ex-senior from St John's. Our NDP went rather well, seeing as it was way better than our performance during the rehearsals, but Joel got nervous and messed up the National pledge again.
After the NDP we had the prize-presentation ceremony followed by the National Day Games. During the Games, Alicia and I roamed around school and ended up visiting the library. I suppose I showed a totally different side of me when Mrs Ong called everyone to stay back after school 'cause I was crying like crazy after Elly's speech. During her speech, however, I sort of snapped at some of the boys for their sarcasm at the inappropriate moment, I mean, Elly's talking about leaving and they're saying things like 'Aw, that's so sad,' in a way that sounds nowhere near sincere.
Lily, Elly, Khaing and her friend and I went to Vivocity to have lunch and buy movie tickets for The Last Airbender. Aye and Dorog joined us much later 'cause of the YOG preparations. Shu Ping joined us last, during the movie - it was brilliant. The movie was just like the anime but the characters were much cuter and the Princess was really pretty in the movie whereas I couldn't see much charm in her anime-self. Aang was even cuter in the movie than in the cartoon, which is saying something. The effects were even cooler than those in some Harry Potter movies (even if I'm a total Potterhead).
After the movie, we went around window-shopping in all the toy stores. Aye was uncontrollable. Lily wanted to eat yet Aye continued to pop in and out of stores so in the end, Lily dragged her to the KFC outlet while the rest of us followed them, laughing our heads off. Lily found a place, rearranged the tables and went off to buy food. Aye was saying things like 'That woman's crazy,' - 'The way that woman dragged me will make people think I'm a mad person being arrested!' Dorog and I were telling Lily that she has a huge appetite and yet she's rather slim while she was eating.
All in all, it was a really memorable day :) I wish Alicia didn't have French so that she could've joined us :(

How well you know f.t island?

How well you know f.t island?

My Result: 100% Primadonna
Lets continue give our love to the Five Treasure Boys !

Take this Quiz - See More

Aren't they adorable? ^^

1st week after mid-year exams

The stress still hasn't completely lifted, even if it has, I'm still not enjoying myself... not that I study or anything! My Humanities results were rubbish, I was 'nominated' to go for some Scouts Camp (which is super tough for people like Aye, let alone myself) and I can't even slack in peace cause my mum keeps telling me to do stuff for her -.-
On Friday I received three phone calls, one from Mrs Ong, then from Danica's mum then from Ms Neo who accidentally called me Bryan!
Today, my sister & I went for the Scout Rally carnival & people kept saying things like 'identical twins' or 'you two look so alike'. Vizhe attacked Ebenezer in the middle of our Truth or Dare game 'cause he was annoying us. At Hwa Chong Institute, Khaing, Moe & I thought we were supposed to take part in some game so we waited then were told, even before we started the race, that our whole team won.I went back to our stall & (unwillingly)helped out in 'controlling' the customers. But since the majority were small children, I couldn't possibly yell at them. However, when Glendon pointed this out to me, I yelled at him.

I got caught in the rain on Thursday on my way to tuition & was feeling under the weather on Friday. I planned to skip Scouts but since my patrol was on duty I thought that I wasn't allowed to & attended it - BIG mistake. During the Scouts flagraising ceremony, it rained but we weren't supposed to break ranks. Something also went wrong with the flag so there was a delay. Then Bryan was called to lead us in the 'Promise and Law' but he forgot most of it so Joel Cheng kept whispering the words. We spent most of the meeting in Ms Neo's homeroom to be briefed on pioneering by Mr Benjamin Tan. After the briefing, the seniors had to teach the Sec1s the eight basic knots while most of the Sec2s went off for their PTC. Jing Sen got up too so Adhira called him a Sec2 & shooed him away. Saravannan told me to teach Ebenezer but I violently objected so I taught a Sec1 from a different patrol instead. Jing Sen called Adhira to teach Saminah then called me to teach her instead. In the middle of teaching Saminah, Ebenezer did something to annoy Jing Sen so he & quite a number of the Sec3 boys tied a rope around Ebenezer and pulled, only letting go several minutes later. By then, Ebenezer was totally breathless and Jing Sen demanded 'What've you learnt?'
'To not crack jokes for no reason all the time.'
'Wrong! You learnt to slim down.'
When the pioneering thing was over, Adhira and I stood near a table and all of a sudden Jing Sen pushed her and hit me with a book so we both went 'What's your problem?'. His reply was, 'I'm a potential murderer.'
The Sec1s got to go home first while the seniors had to bring down the flagstaff and keep the firewood that was at the stairs behind the hall. Ms Neo mistook Adhira and me for juniors. Adhira, Jia Wei and I got to the stairs first and when Jing Sen arrived, Adhira said, 'Ay, Sec2, go away!' He kept on joking so Jia Wei said 'You know, I've just realized you're just like Jing Jing.' Daryl suddenly laughed extremely loudly that Adhira and I both went 'Daryl, the PTC!' so he clasped his hands over his mouth. Later, Glendon asked for one of us to go down to help him so I volunteered. Jia Wei was there too, but I didn't notice when she'd gone there. Glendon asked me impatiently why i was so slow so I tried to wack him with the three pieces of firewood i was holding. When he tried to defend himself saying 'Oh wait, I forgot, you're a girl,' which all the more made me try to wack him. Some time later, I lifted a huge pole but was told to drop it & i literally did so. Adhira and Jing Sen went 'Ow! You killed two people at once!' because the pole had landed on their feet. They called me a mass murderer and Daryl said something like 'Double kill!' By that time, I'd already started feeling a bit nauseous.
Jing Sen said something in Tamil so Adhira said to him, 'If you say that on the street, you'll get beaten up,' she turned to Saravannan & said, 'Hey Bala, you taught him these kind of things, right?' However, Jing Sen spoke in Tamil again, pointing at her. Adhira, who was holding a piece of firewood, said, 'You're insulting your own mother, you know? And I told you not to say that!' and she began hitting him with the firewood. He defensively said, 'If I insulted my own mother, why are you hitting me?'
By the time we were finished with everything, it was already past six. Adhira and I were too exhausted to walk to the bus stop just yet so we sat at the table outside the scout den and bickered with Jing Sen. He called us Sec1s and asked our heights.
'Around 158 or 159,' I said.
'Psh!'
'You're not that much taller than me, ok?'
Then Adhira said, 'I'm 180.'
'Half of that, right?' he said to Adhira. 'I'm a head taller than you.'
When Adhira & I were about to leave, we spoke to Vizhe. While we were talking, we saw a flash of light and looked in the direction of where the light came from just in time to see Mr Yap with a camera.
'You don't think he took a picture of us, do you?' asked Vizhe.
'I think so,' I replied miserably and the three of us screamed, but controlled the volume of our screams so as to not make too much noise.
On our way to the gate, Jocelyn and her friend (I'm not too sure whether her name's Jessica or Jessie) both went 'Bye!' to us.
When I got home, it was past seven, my forehead was practically burning and i felt like I was about to throw up any minute.

Scout Job Week Camp

We had our Scouts Camp from Friday to Monday... Here's a 'review'...

Friday
My entire class was bombarded with lots of homework, especially A Math & English (major emphasis on English!) When school was over I rushed off to West Coast Plaza to buy a triangular bandage and ran into Moe there. Frankly, my camp last year was way better than the one this year. What's more, Saravannan didn't cone so all the responsibilities of the PL were pushed to Yong Wei whereas as those that would've been his were pushed to me (thankfully, the latter were very few). our 'lights out' time was between 11 and 12! -.-*

Saturday
We woke up super early because we had some first year investiture at dawn so we had to go to west coast park (where we nearly had our water bottles nicked by an old man). Back at school, Ms Neo briefed us about the job week. My patrol went off to the bus stop across the street and took 282 with the Tiger patrol. I didn't go around to other people's houses as I had to go to the Woodlands Regional Library. When I got back to school, Vizhe told me and Adhira that Narvin was involved in some kind of accident and was in NUH.

Sunday
We had Physical training this morning and ran eleven rounds around the courtyard. In the bus, most of us were causing a ruckus and Shen Yuan went 'Hey, Kent Ridge, be quiet! Later, when we get back to Kent Ridge, you'll all get it from me!' I swear, I'd always used to tell myself I'd never meet anyone I hate more than Bryan but was I ever wrong... He's not as bad anymore ever since Ebenezer came along. My patrol and the Tiger patrol decided to go together to Bukit Timah or Bukit Batok or whatever... Most of our morning was wasted. I don't exactly know what Ebenezer did or said but Jing Sen yelled at him twice, first giving him a warning then ordering him to do twenty press-ups. It rained cats and dogs for about three hours total. The first time, Jing Sen was talking about buying 'paos' all the time that I called him 'Pao-boy'. Vishnu teased Lowell by saying 'Lowell, I feel like lowering you down a well.' When the rain stopped, the boys bought buns and we continued combing the area. Then they tossed the papers into the fast-flowing drain and Adhira said to Jing Sen 'I'll go tell your brother, he's an SC right?' The second time it rained, Mr Tan came to drive us to a bus stop.

Monday
When we went out to collect money we decided to comb the blocks around West Coast. I went with Adhira, Yong Wei and Joel Cheng. Adhira and I had stomach aches but hers was so bad that she had to go back to school. She joined us again at around 1pm. We had our lunch at a hawker centre (to my and adhira's dismay) and decided to continue combing the blocks. During that time, Yong Wei and Joel were making fun of each other calling each other 'Bangla', 'China', 'Hobo' and 'Paedophile'. On one of the floors, a Malay woman asked the boys to organise her bookshelf and gave them $10 each and gave all of us Ferraro Rocher chocolates. On another floor, Adhira and I weren't so lucky... A Chinese woman made us clean her door and we spent about ten minutes but she was so fussy about the dirt and had us keep on cleaning. Another ten minutes later, she gave the two of us $2 each so Yong Wei lost his temper and flung a a plastic bag containing the wrappers of the chocalates he and Joel had eaten at their door and we all retreated. When we got back to school, Adhira called Zhun Siong a food poisoner and said that she'd make a case against him in the Consumer Court and said something about him eating grass.

Sorting Hat

What Hogwarts House Would the Sorting Hat Choose for You?
Congratulations! To cap matters, we had CIP today -.- Scouts wasn't all that draining yesterday because we only had to practise for Founder's Day - mind you, we were lucky it rained heavily. In the middle of that, we also played this game called 'wacker' or something like that and it was both fun and hilarious. Shen Yuan kind of forced Harold to join us and the latter accidentally slipped and did a split so he quit immediately. Jing Sen was super funny because when he was the wacker and someone yelled 'Jun Sen' (which kind of sounds really similar to his name if pronounced correctly) and he asked 'Which one?' so Adhira and I were laughing our heads off.
After Scouts, I went home and arrived past 7 and my mum wanted me to follow her to the clinic - when I was totally exhausted and had a huge pile of homework and so little time, to cap matters - so I threw a tantrum but went to the clinic anyway... and that meant I couldn't watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on Okto T.T (Potterheads will know how I felt).
Today I woke up at 7am because of that CIP thing and was so beyond happy when Bryan wasn't coming with my group because he had to stay behind at school. I left early at 11 am) because I had to have my lunch and go to the British Council. The lessons there are so fun, I love my teacher's accent and my classmates there are geniuses, I mean, two of the girls are from Nanyang (named Joan and Angeline). I'm afraid I haven't asked Caritta (don't know if I spelt it right) which school she's from though.
Hmmm... well, that's it. Better end here and continue with my wretched homework before I land in detention or something for not finishing it up -.-

First week in Sec 3 = a week in Hades

Well, the term's started and I'm finally, as we consider back in BISPP, in High School - Year 10. You probably haven't any clue what I'm saying... Never mind that. Here's what's happened so far during my first week...

Monday
First day of school. We've got only one new student in 3/1 named Josephine and I mistook her for one of the triplets. Quite a lot of changes with my friends I think - well, the way they look at least. The triplets tie their hair in ponytails now and it makes them look more mature (compliment, by the way) and Aye looks so cute in her new hair that I didn't realise it was her at first. Our class teacher's brilliant and funny, like when she called Hock Rong her cousin because of their names. We had to vote for members for the Class Committee and I swear, I'm gonna kill Marcus one of these days for sabotaging me into class treasurer - I keep freaking out when too many people approach me at the same time -.- Alicia was voted for several roles in the committee and had to keep leaving and re-entering the classroom at least five times. We had scouts that day because we had to make a banner for the Sec 1's and couldn't really agree. To cap off my foul mood, Joel (my classmate this time), Meng Hwee and a few others were fooling around -.-* soooo immature.

Tuesday
I was given the duty of collecting $8.90 from all the Biology students and 90 cents from the entire class for the A Maths files T.T Scouts in the afternoon again but Adhira and I are given the task of decorating the notice board so we left earlier than several others.

Wednesday
I had to go around the class collecting money from everyone during A. Maths and Aye and I both went down to the bookshop to buy the files. On our way back to class I was complaining about being treasurer and seething that I'd murder Marcus - only to hear from her that she was one of the people who voted for me too because I'm trustworthy and I was like, 'but there could be lots of other trustworthy and responsible people.' Mrs Nedu is the first teacher to have ever pronounced my name correctly the first time she read it off the list. After school, we had Scouts AGAIN! We had to do wretched footdrills when we'd all thought we'd come just to paint the banner (or finish up the notice board in mine and Adhira's case, which we managed in about 15 mins). Jing Sen was in-charge and we went up to the fitness corner and saw a few of the boys in my class playing table-tennis there and Zhun Siong went to join them. Jing Sen was like 'Zhun Siong, what are you doing?' and he replied 'Playing,' in a tone that made it seem like they were discussing the weather or something XD Adhira, Lakshmi and I went off early because we didn't inform our parents and on our way back to the Scouts' den, we saw Jing Heng and I suddenly forgot the two of them were twins and was about to go 'Wait, how could you be here, when you were just up there?' How stupid I'd have felt if I had said that.

Thursday
Social Studies was quite funny the way the 3/2 students kept fooling around but I'm sure that it'll eventually get annoying and disrupting to the lessons -.- We all had a silly fight about the colours that our files should be. We decided on white and dark blue in the end. After school, Nicholas, Alicia, Elly, Lily and I decided to go to West Coast Plaza to buy the files so I told them I'd inform my parents and Nicholas was like 'Why? It's only gonna be about ten minutes,' and I was like 'So?' We didn't buy any in the end because they were expensive.

Friday
It's a good thing that we decided not to buy those file because we decided to change the colours to red and green (which I've already got ^.^) After school, Adhira and I were about to attempt our A Math homework but Glendon came and told us to help with the flag staff - or flag pole - or whatever it's called. Yi Lin was there and asked me why I wasn't in the Hall. I was taken aback by this question o.0 and replied 'I'm not supposed to be there. I'm not a councillor' and she was like 'Oh. I thought you were' and I was wondering whether I'd ever pretended to be one just for fun my borrowing someone's badge or whether there's a student in our school who looks like me. My legs are in absolute pain from all those footdrills. -.-*

Well, my first week in Sec 3 was pretty draining with all these Scout meetings and homework. If I'm not wrong, that's just an 'appetizer' for Sec 3 life and the 'main course' is coming soon... *sigh* If I'd known, I would've had more fun and put my freedom and spare time for lots of fun things...

'You're only young once'

Back from Myanmar

I'm finally back from my four weeks trip to Myanmar. I actually arrived around eleven at night on 27 Dec but was too exhausted to unpack, let alone touch the computer. The following day I couldn't go online because the computer had some kind of... um... glitch? Anyway, I enjoyed my first few days at Yangon by going to my first cousin's wedding, playing with kittens at my second cousins' place and reading Harry Potter :)

When I went to visit my grandmother's place for three weeks, my time consisted mainly of Burmese tuition, Math tuition, evening walks, sleeping more than 10 hours a day and laughing my head off at the comedy CDs we borrowed. My dad got fed up with me reading so much Harry Potter that he kept the books in a suitcase and brought me to a bookshop to rent Burmese novels (I gave op on the seventh page 'cause I didn't get what it was saying) so when my dad went back to Yangon he bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows translated into Burmese :D

When we returned to Yangon, one of my cousins, my sister and I went to an amusement park, an arcade (played wicked driving and drumming games), a mall (not that we actually bought much - mostly ate doughnuts and window shopped - and, the next day, went to this huge park and ate a restaurant there and, right after eating, climbed to the 7th floor all the way from the ground floor! -.- My cousin's mean...
Anyway, because of my Burmese tuition, I think I'll be ready enough for the 'O' levels if I practise enough... Well, I'm sure I could at least scrape a 55% - but if I score a sixty-something, I'll be beyond happy!

Burmese 'O' levels - my greatest fear until 2012

I wish the holidays would go on forever - not because I'm lazy to go to school or because I hate school, but because I'm nervous about my Burmese 'O' levels. My parents went to a family friend's place and their son had taken the 'O' levels this year... his mum has the previous years' exam papers for Burmese 'O' levels and I saw them myself - they're so difficult. I bet I'd score no more than 25% so how the heck am I supposed to get into a JC with rubbish grades like that? I was nervous enough for the 'O' levels without Burmese, thank you very much! I'm good at English compositions but Burmese is another story. If I was still at my old school, I'd be taking those major exams around June 2010 but at least for the second language, mine would be Mandarin and at least I've got a teacher to help me pull through - not to mention we haven't got CCAs.
*Sigh*
I desperately wanna go to a JC but how can I if I have to pass Burmese? I'm feeling really miserable right now...
T.T I'm not looking forward to a new school year anymore - not one bit.

Family trip to Orchard

I went to Orchard yesterday evening with my family and got back home around midnight. By then, I was too exhausted and sleepy to bother with a blog entry. Now, I'm finally on the computer again so here it goes...

My family and I went to Orchard yesterday because they wanted to show us the lights and decorations that had been put up there for Christmas - it was totally beautiful! We took photos (my dad and I) and recorded a few videos. We went to Paragon because my mum wanted to buy a new handbag to bring to my first cousin's wedding. We spent quite a long time there and a fire alarm sounded while we were there - which turned out to be a false alarm so it was a good thing we didn't bother to panic. After she finally got her handbag, we went to a small shop on the ground floor and took a few more pictures. We eventually left Paragon and went around seeing all those Christmas decorations. We also went inside this huge Christmas tree - it had lots of awesome lights in the interior - it was sparkling and so beautiful...
Some people were lying on the ground and taking pictures. We left a few minutes later and went to another place which I have no idea about - all I can say about it is that it had a huge golden bird cage-like object which people can enter and take pictures.

Well, that's all for this entry.

We had another Scout Meeting today which was supposed to be from 10 am to 1 pm - yet it ended around 2.30 pm! -.-
We walked from school to West Coast Park and since neither Yong Wei nor Saravannan came, I was sort of in-charge of my patrol (to my annoyance).
My group and, if I'm not wrong, Karlo's group, was/were the only group(s) without a Sec 3 student.
I didn't mind the walking too much from school to the park but the walk back was another story (I'll get to that later).
What I minded most about the Hike was that in my teammates: Adhira, Joel (Cheng) and Bryan (-.-*), Adhira was the only one that really helped me out with the Hike Log. Joel and Bryan were doing their routine bickering and fooling around - well, Joel wasn't that bad, at least he wasn't obnoxious! When I tried to ask them to help out, that foul Bryan swore at me (felt like pushing him on the road and letting the cars run over him - though I wouldn't have the guts anyway) -.-+
When we got there, we had to redraw the route map and Bryan was fooling around that I shouted at him (no effect, obviously).
Then, we had to find our checkpoints and this time Joel helped out a bit. We went right past our checkpoint and had to go back! -.-
At our checkpoint, Adhira filled up the logsheet - or whatever it's called - and I drew up the checkpoint. That stupid Bryan was spouting vulgar stuff out of his mouth as if no one's listening >.<* I thought I'd snap.
After that whole thing, it started raining - heavily.
Very few people brought their umbrellas so we had to share about six umbrellas between nineteen people! Many of us were totally drenched and wet to the skin as we trudged on back to school (the Sec 1 girls were so lucky that they went back to school in a car). I really don't think there would've been any difference whether we used umbrellas or not since about two or three people had to cram under one tiny umbrella!
Adhira and I both left school together at around 2.30 pm.
To be frank, the Hike wasn't bad, it would've been considerably fun if Bryan wasn't there and Joel helped out more.

I went to school in the afternoon to see the streaming results and I'm glad that I'm glad that my classmates for next year will be Adhira, Alicia, Arianne, Aye, Elly, Hee Jung, Xiao Xi etc. I'm not sure if I saw correctly but I think I won't be Danica's classmate anymore <span style="font-weight: bold; My dad and I didn't know where to go after arriving at the library since we didn't notice the sign. So we were there until about 5:10.
After that, I bought some food to eat at home before heading to New Town Secondary for the Campfire. I had to iron my uniform as it was crumpled before donning it and rushing out of the house. By then, it was already 6:30.
I took the 196 bus to New Town and there were other scouts from other schools that I didn't know (felt really lonely). When I finally got to New Town, I had a bit of trouble finding the place where I had to go. I saw loads of scouts gathered in this place but I had no idea how to get there. There were several fire-lit torches aligning the path to the canteen and several pictures of spiders and eagles. I was told to 'go straight, turn right then cross a bridge' but I'd been there before and I'd never noticed any bridge - but the bridge wasn't the concrete type, it was wooden; hand-made; probably crafted by the scouts. It was pretty cool.
I had to find the others - who were at the opposite end and I only knew it was them when Aye waved at me. I eventually realised why there were pictures of spiders and eagles though: there was this sort-of competition between everyone who had been split up into two groups; Eagles (I'm in that group) and Spiders.
A few representatives had to do three tasks (kinda reminded me of the Triwizard Tournament). Three guys from the scout group on our right carried one guy to the stage, left him there and ran back to their seats. This scout - I guess he's sort-of the MC for the Campfire was standing next to this guy dressed up as a 'tribal chief' and pretended to be unable to speak English. So the MC was like a 'translator'. When the 'tribal chief spoke' the MC was like 'Yes My Lord, what is it?' and Aye muttered 'Go and die!'
After the tasks, there were these students who danced to different songs; including Nobody. Some of the Sec Twos went 'Saddam!' When the whole campfire was over, most of us took bus 196 along with another group of scouts. We occupied the second storey of the double-decker bus - not because there were too many of us but because some of us were being a public nuisance. -.-+
Joel insulted Meng Hwee, Meng Hwee attacked him, Bryan was being a prat and Meng Hwee attacked him, then Shen Yuan of all people joined in (not all that shocking, it's just because he's supposed to be our role-model), the boys were yelling, stamping, running, goodness-knows-what-else... *sigh* leave it to those guys to pull of a babaric stunt like that in public. I was about to convince myself that we'd be kicked out by the driver!

Had Scouts today and thankfully it had rained and it rained again
...
Well, <span style="font-style: italic; Several student leaders - called 'Odysseyans' had gone on an Odyssey Camp two days ago and we were to meet with them at Dairy Farm Adventure Centre. I admit I didn't look forward to the camp at first even though one of my friends who had been on it before said it was fun. My sister, on the other hand, had told me she was worn out after the camp. (Well, duh! It's a school camp!I'd thought.) What really got me to not worry about the camp was by telling myself that it was a good way to de-stress after our end-of-year exams.
On the first day of the camp, we were all split into eight groups with students from different classes. I turned out to be in Group 4 with Mun Yee, Guan Shen, Qi Xing (or Jenny), Husaini, Samuel Lee, Mithra, Siew Li, Guo Wei, Syahmi and Li Wei. School was closed that day because it was Promotion Day and the Sec Twos were practically the only students there. The triplets were split up into three groups and complained that it was done on purpose.
At school, we had to wait until we were finally allowed to leave and were just sitting there in the hot sun until we split up and were introduced to our group trainers. No offence intended but it was rather boring when we just introduced ourselves, drew on a large sheet of paper and played games. Later on, our trainer asked us a sort-of trick question which none of us could figure out so what he said was, 'figure it out.' Samuel 'sought revenge' on our trainer by asking him several trick questions until all the groups gathered back again. That was when the trainers tried to entertain us and we literally made some noise - okay, we made lots of noise my eardrums nearly exploded; but it was fun. Later on, in the bus on our way to the Adventure Centre, Samuel was practically bullying our trainer and calling the latter his apprentice or something.
At the campsite, we met up with the Odysseyans. The Odysseyans - or student leaders - who were in Group 4 turned out to be Elton, Jade, Dorog, Glacier, Su Nyi and Hari. We had to change into our track pants to do the 'General Stations' after our lunch. The facilities were... um... not gonna say anything.
For the first two general stations, we all had to work together to get each member through either a tyre or a spiderweb-like net. It was rather fun and it was especailly funny when the boys grabbed our trainer's shoe and ran off with it. The next two general stations involved teamwork too. We had to get over a wall (and try to break the record - which we managed to do) then we had to swing from a rope. When I did it, I shut my eyes and screamed (don't exactly know why).
After dinner, we had our Night Hike to the Dairy Farm Quarry. Husaini rather annoyed me by talking throughout the entire walk and it didn't really help matters when I tried to shush him and suddenly heard someone scream from ahead of us. When we arrived at the quarry, we sat down in our groups (but the ground was wet - probably with rain water - so I didn't exactly sit). The sky was beautiful and we spotted some fireflies once in a while. The walk back was not as scary and we didn't need to go in groups anymore - or keep totally silent.
The next day we went on a Nature Trail after breakfast and area cleaning - or aerial cleaning or whatever it's called. Our Nature guide was Alice and she told us lots of fascinating things about spiders (even if they disgust me often it was still very interesting) and different kinds of plants and animals (mainly insects). We also went to the quarry (which seemed less creepy by day) and some of us - including me - ate some petals from some flowers which Alice had told us were edible. There were several cyclers there and we had holler 'Bike!' whenever one was comimg while the rest had to keep left of the track.
Before lunch, there was this Odysseyans vs Trainers thing going on and I felt like the rest of the students were suddenly forgotton (a bit annoying really - no offence intended). After lunch, we did the 'High Element' activities. During rock climbing, not many people managed to reach the top (I was one of those who didn't because I looked down and got scared). It was a test of our perseverance and will to not give up. (Honestly! Couldn't there be a less scary way of testing that?) After that, we split into groups to either do abseiling or the Zip Line AKA Flying Fox. I had - ever since the age of twelve - wanted to try abseiling but was also dying to do the Flying Fox. However, I decided to do abseiling. It was initially scary and I nearly felt like turning back, but eventually thought that it was not as fun as I'd hoped - probably because of my desire to try out the Flying Fox. After that, we did these other stations which were also 'high element'. I was thankful that the station my group did was, in my opinion, the easiest and least scary.
That night, we had our campfire and the groups had to 'perform'. I especially liked the one groups 5 and 6 put up as it was really funny the way Saddam imitated a girl with the song 'Nobody' playing in the background. The students also bullied the teachers into a dance contest. It was also hilarious when a student called one of the trainers ugly when he joked and told us to say he was handsome. Our reaction: 'Eee!' followed by someone mixing his name and the word 'ugly' and practically yelling it out, causing him to go, 'What!?'
Our last day wasn't as fun and only one thing that I can freshly recall was the time during area cleaning when our trainer took a hose and sprayed water at anyone he could. Some of us went, 'What's his problem?' or 'Is he crazy?'. Elton, Jade, Jenny and I stayed behind one of the dorms until it was over. I really don't mean any offence to Su Nyi but he was rather idiotic to stay within the range of the water and complain whenever anyone sprayed the water at him.

Melting Ice

I wish for the old times to return,
Those times are gone and I can still feel the burn.
When I was still a single, united piece,
Listen, I need your help, please!
While my world was not yet rent asunder,
So quickly it felt like flashes of lightning and thunder.
When I had arctic creatures to call me their home,
Once I'm gone, they'll have no land upon which to roam.
Global warming and pollution are my greatest foes,
They are two of the reasons for my woes.
What am I, you ask?
